Our commitment to Social Responsibility and Sustainability transcends words. We work every day to preserve the environment that surrounds us and to transform the lives of those who share this paradise with us.

Here, in this corner of incomparable beauty, we have embraced the privilege and responsibility of caring for the marine and terrestrial ecosystem that welcomes us. But we don’t stop there: our impact extends to local communities, with whom we forge a relationship based on respect, collaboration and mutual development.

Here, in this corner of incomparable beauty, we have embraced the privilege and responsibility of caring for the marine and terrestrial ecosystem that welcomes us. But we don’t stop there: our impact extends to local communities, with whom we forge a relationship based on respect, collaboration and mutual development.

We support projects that strengthen education, the local economy and the quality of life of the people of the Archipelago, promoting conscious tourism that leaves positive and lasting footprints. Through sustainable and innovative practices, we seek to inspire our guests and collaborators to become guardians of the environment and ambassadors of change.

At Hotel Isla Múcura, every choice, every action, counts. Together we are writing a new story for the San Bernardo Archipelago, one where sustainability is not just a purpose, but a legacy.

Strategic Objective

Contribute to the Sustainable Development of the San Bernardo Archipelago.

Strategic Pillars

Our Sustainability and CSR will be based on four strategic pillars that will guide its operation and specific actions:

Environmental management and ecosystem conservation:

Located in an environment of high ecological value, the hotel is committed to adopting measures that reduce its environmental impact. This pillar includes the implementation of energy efficiency practices, waste reduction and responsible use of water, as well as the conservation of local habitats and species. In addition, circular economy practices will be promoted to maximize the use of resources and minimize waste generation.

The strategy will also work on ecological restoration programs and on strengthening alliances with conservation organizations, to actively contribute to the preservation of the National Natural Park.

Sustainable and community development:

Positive impact on the community is a central focus. Through strategic alliances with local organizations and development programs, the hotel seeks to improve the quality of life of the archipelago’s inhabitants. This includes creating fair and quality employment opportunities for the local population, as well as promoting activities that strengthen the regional economy. In addition, educational and training programs will be promoted so that community members can benefit from tourism in a sustainable way.

Employee Wellbeing and Development:

Employees are the core of the operation and the main ambassadors of sustainability. For this reason, well-being programs will be developed that include training, incentives and fair working conditions, promoting a motivating work environment aligned with the hotel’s values.

Through the Sustainability School, employees will receive ongoing training in sustainable development, leadership and social responsibility, thereby generating an organizational culture oriented toward sustainability. This will not only increase employee commitment, but will also strengthen their skills and allow them to actively contribute to the hotel’s goal of being a benchmark in social and environmental responsibility.

Economic responsibility and sustainable trade:

This pillar involves a commitment to manage the hotel’s financial resources efficiently, ensuring responsible use of them and promoting the local economy. The strategy will encourage trade with local suppliers and support responsible tourism that respects and highlights the culture and values of the region. Sustainable financial practices will also be implemented to allow the hotel to remain economically viable in the long term without compromising its sustainability principles.
