Isla Múcura is one of those paradisiacal places that can only be found in a country like Colombia. Its beaches of fine sand and turquoise waters together with a calm and relaxing atmosphere that invites you to completely disconnect from the rest of the world, make it the perfect destination for travelers, especially for those who enjoy contact with nature.
Can you camp in Isla Múcura?
This is one of the regular questions among those who plan to visit this destination soon and the answer is unfortunately NO.
It is NOT possible to camp on the island, as it is forbidden, but there was another very similar option offered by the Isla Múcura Hotel, it was called GLAMPING and we will tell you all about it.
What was GLAMPING?
The aspect of the beaches of Isla Múcura invites you to do activities that connect you to nature since its quiet and pollution-free environment allows you to enjoy pleasant moments outdoors.
But as we said before, you can NOT camp inside Isla Múcura, but you could opt for the type of lodging offered by the Hotel Isla Múcura called GLAMPING that consisted of sleeping in a simple hammock enjoying the night breeze, the sound of the waves on the beach and a firmament full of stars, an ideal experience for those adventurers who seek to have contact with nature.
The hammocks were located in a large kiosk with capacity for up to 30 people.
And if you want to enjoy nature even more, you can take one of the ecological tours offered at the Isla Múcura Hotel, where you can discover all that this island has to offer, but always remember to be as respectful as possible with the ecosystem.
What replaces GLAMPING today at the hotel?
Today we have replaced the GLAMPING for the impressive BUNGALOWS located in front of the sea, today we do NOT have tents or GLAMPING, the best are the Bungalows and we have several accommodations to suit your tastes and budgets.
Recommendations for the Bungalows.
Do not forget to include in your luggage personal hygiene products such as shampoo, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, shavers, bathing suit, flip-flops or water shoes that you feel comfortable with, towels, comb, etc.
Personal cleanliness is one of the most complicated things, there are people who do not care much about the subject but others are more delicate with the matter so if you are of this second group you will feel happy staying in the kiosks where you will have access to clean bathrooms (shared) with fresh water showers that will make you feel comfortable during your stay, you will also have the opportunity to share with other people coming from other parts of the world so you can have a unique and special experience.
Finally, do not forget to include among the things you bring, hats and sunglasses, insect repellent, sunscreen and of course, a lot of desire to enjoy a wonderful vacation in the beautiful Isla Múcura.
